Looking good

A first half to forget for the lads and in which Rovers will be disappointed at not taking their chances. The second half was a different matter and early on a good ball by Ben Thomas set Jake Barry on a run down the right and he coolly slotted home the game's first goal. Not long after, a mix up in defence gave Gazza Lewis an easy tap in and it started to look like the game was running away from the visitors. This was compounded when the visiting no.7 stupidly brought down Freddie Beer, who was having a good second half in midfield together with Gareth Govier, and the visiting defender was sent off for his second bookable offence.

The Town lads were now clearly on top and with the back four looking pretty comfortable it was down the left, with Jason Rourke and Steven Hubbuck, where the damage was being done. The third goal came when Gazza confidently beat the keeper and then super sub Corey Bevan got in the act after talking the Rovers back four to death so they simply gave him a goal .... (sorry Corey only joking - it was a great goal !) ......

The final shout of the game came from Gazza Lewis who not only scored his hat trick but also hit the 100th league goal of the season for the home side which takes them into the last two remaining games at home to Bryncoch (Sat) and Inco Vale (Tue) with a great chance of promotion.

Well done to Paul Williams and his team.
